Harrison’s fresh new interior design of The Depot in Kidbrooke Village
The Depot, in Kidbrooke Village, is a community-based pub we opened in 2019. The area surrounding the pub with a history dating back to the second world war as a storage depot for RAF barrage balloons. A storytelling opportunity not to be missed.
Storytelling has to be carefully managed, try too hard and it just becomes a patronising theme, get it right and it gives substance and a sense of place.
Our work here brought to life this important piece of history and tells the story of its role in a subtle yet meaningful way. As the world becomes more of a global community a sense of local identity becomes increasingly important to us all.
