Well known in the US, Chipotle made its first entry into the UK back in 2010 and has been developing more European growth ever since. As consumer familiarity has gained over time, Chipotle has increased their pipeline of development in England, so when they tapped Harrison to help with Brand Strategy, Interior Design and Architecture, we jumped at the chance.
The only ingredient that is hard to pronounce at Chipotle is “chipotle” (in case you’re wondering, it is CHIP-OAT-LAY.). Their design and visitor experience should be just as easy. Harrison took the time to learn all about Chipotle’s Values and what drives the brand to be real. They’re committed, they fight for the planet, they want to make the world better, one restaurant and one burrito at a time.
Inspired by an installation at the headquarters in California, the new location in Westfield makes a statement before you even walk in the door. The perforated backlit Corten storefront feature is larger than life and strategically makes this location impossible to ignore.
While this location mirrors the core US model, Harrison helped evolve the design in the UK making it warmer, offering more comfortable seating, raising the ceiling height, and overall creating a more welcoming space for such a fast-paced environment.
