We are proud to announce today that current Chief Operations Officer and longtime Harrison employee Keith Anderson will assume the new role of global CEO. Company founder and namesake Philip Harrison is officially stepping up into the role of Chairman.
Anderson joined Harrison as a graduate interior designer in the early 2000s and has since developed into a passionate leader whose entire career focus has been on redefining the restaurant, hospitality, leisure and entertainment sectors. He was named COO in 2013 and that same year was also instrumental in launching the Dallas office, where he will remain and lead the agency. In his nearly two decades with the company, Anderson has consistently delivered growth across North America and cultivated Harrison as a place that can build a brand’s identity and integrate it across every touchpoint of the guest experience, not just the environment’s architecture and interior design.
“I am confident to take on this role and excited to see what we can achieve,” Anderson said. “Harrison has always been a company that can create and deliver. We’ve built a great culture and an empowered team with uncompromising commitment to creativity and our strategic full-service approach. Our collective aim is to take these learnings from the entrepreneurial US market and continue to build our global business to push the boundaries of design within our industry and be a company that our team can be proud to be associated with.”
With the full support of the Harrison Board of Directors, Anderson will grow and flourish international business in strategic markets around the world, offering clients a 360-degree design approach to ensure that Harrison’s core values and strategic services are embedded into each client’s brand profile regardless of country, region, market or neighborhood. With the successes achieved in the US over the past decade, the rapid growth of the team and the overall opportunities presented thanks to the size of the North American market, the next logical step for Harrison was for its new CEO to be based in the United States.
“My belief in Keith has been delivered on many times over, reaching the position where Harrison is a well-established and respected player in the US hospitality sector – all achieved in an extraordinarily quick timescale,” Philip Harrison said. “They do say a good CEO can effectively make themselves redundant, so consider this job done!”
Philip Harrison founded the company in 1989 and grew it to become a recognized and trusted business, not just in the United Kingdom but on a global scale, with a reputation for creating and executing exceptional projects within the hospitality and leisure sectors. His devotion to impactful, durable and profitable solutions has helped lead Harrison’s to become a global entity with offices in the UK, US, and Australia, and projects found on almost every continent.
