Fogo de Chão brought its signature Brazilian churrascaria experience to Brooklyn, NY, and tasked our team with creating a dining environment that harmonizes the authentic Brazilian brand with the borough’s unique character.

Glimpses of the glowing bar and curated wine wall draw passersby from the bustle of City Point BKLYN into a space shaped by Brazilian hospitality, classic design elements, and thoughtful brand touchpoints.

Designed for Occasion. Where Brazilian warmth meets Brooklyn sophistication.

In the midst of a concrete jungle, Fogo de Chão introduces its signature Brazilian churrascaria experience to a neighborhood known for its grit, creativity, and cultural pride. The challenge: design a space that honors the brand’s South American heritage while feeling unmistakably Brooklyn.

Our team led the restaurant design and architectural vision, weaving together material storytelling and local influence to craft a dining destination that feels both bold and rooted. Blackened steel, fluted glass, and bolted detailing nod to Brooklyn’s industrial past, taking cues from nearby icons like the Navy Yard and Gowanus Canal. Custom lighting, metallic finishes, and metal mesh chandeliers give the space a raw elegance with equal parts authenticity and attitude.

A soaring wine display wall transforms this corner into a moment of quiet theater, where layered lighting, tactile materials, and curated sightlines elevate the overall guest experience.

A large-scale mural anchors the dining room with a graphic nod to Brooklyn’s street art culture, while polished surfaces and structural detailing add a sense of permanence and care. These juxtapositions bring together the brand’s fire-born energy with the layered textures of the borough’s built environment.

Designed to feel timeless yet contemporary, this location is a study in balance: global and local, industrial and warm, spirited and refined. Every element, from the palette to the floor plan, reflects a deep respect for brand heritage, interior design, and neighborhood context.

This is Brazilian warmth and hospitality through a Brooklyn lens – bold, intentional, and unmistakably Fogo.

This project is a great example of how our team weaves in local influence without sacrificing the brand’s established design direction. Of course, with Brooklyn having such a rich and eclectic history, it made everything that much easier. The trick was to make sure we didn’t go too obvious or expected. We wanted to honor the Borough without being kitschy while keeping Fogo’s heritage at the forefront.

Key Features

A striking brand storytelling moment, a custom mural of a gaucha, pays homage to tradition, while a glowing, wall-to-wall wine display adds a touch of luxury interior design and quiet drama to the space.
A contemporary take on classic industrial materials, the metal mesh light fixtures bring texture and contrast to the space while supporting the storytelling of the design.
An intimate corner off the bar tells a layered story. Button accents mimic steel rivets and gaucho coin belts, blending local history with brand storytelling through thoughtful design.
Lush upholstery and sparkling accents soften the edge of industrial finishes, blending hospitable design and interior architecture to express both Brazilian warmth and Brooklyn’s character.
Craft in the Details. A bar defined by texture, rhythm, and refined finishes.
Centrally placed for impact and ease, the market table anchors the customer journey. Thoughtful space planning ensures intuitive flow, transforming a functional element into a bold moment within the dining experience.
Spirit of Brooklyn. Raw materials refined into a dining room bar with soul.
Zonal seating supports a flexible guest experience, adapting to party size and mood while preserving the premium standard of the restaurant design.
At the entrance, Fogo’s signature warmth is expressed through open sightlines, lounge seating, and greenery. This inviting approach to storytelling welcomes guests like old friends.
Clever space planning blurs the line between public and private, as a faux patio anchors the mall concourse through as an elegant solution in high-traffic hospitality design.

Fogo de Chão offers a distinctive dining experience rooted in the warmth of Southern Brazilian hospitality and the rich tradition of churrasco. From the very beginning, Harrison has deeply understood how to bring that vision to life through design, which is why we’ve entrusted them with some of our most high-profile locations—including Miami Dadeland, Seattle, Brooklyn and others. Our ongoing collaboration with Harrison ensures we continue to elevate the guest journey, transforming each location into a true destination for friends and family to gather and celebrate.
