The traditional White Bear meets modern interior design

The White Bear has been on this site since c.1780. Located in the heart of Kennington Park, Young’s brief was to create a traditional pub which had a modern look and feel about it, without losing its heritage.

The White Bear’s interior is a stunning example of traditional pub meets modern design with an eclectic collection of layered artwork and bric-a-brac. It has a number of discrete areas including a snug as well as and a very popular theatre on the first floor.  It offers a dedicated dining area which has an open kitchen serving popular modern English seasonal cuisine sourced locally. It boasts a large beer garden which is also home to three bee hives!  The White Bear was a finalist in the Restaurant and Bar Design Awards in 2018.
