Striking Exterior Design Inspired by Chipotle’s California Roots
The story begins at the storefront. Inspired by an art installation at Chipotle’s California headquarters, we translated the brand’s iconic chilli into a sculptural Corten steel façade, perforated and backlit to create depth, warmth, and a moment of pause within the constant movement of one of Europe’s busiest shopping destinations. It doesn’t shout for attention. It draws you in and the footfall data demonstrates this.
Evolving Interiors for a UK Audience
Inside, the space is rooted in Chipotle’s US design language, carefully evolved for a UK audience. Ceiling heights were lifted, materials softened, and textures enriched to create a more welcoming, human atmosphere. Signature spider lights replace track lighting, casting a warmer glow and subtly referencing the brand’s origins. UK-sourced brick and leather reinforce authenticity and sustainability, while the layout flows with ease mirroring the theatre of the open kitchen
Sustainable Materials and Authentic Local Touches
Everything is intentional. Locally (UK) sourced brick and leather bring authenticity and sustainability into the fold. The flow of the layout encourages ease of movement just like the visible kitchen theatre behind the counter.
