Where local culture meets global energy
Blending layered materials, neighborhood storytelling, and an open layout the tone for the customer journey is set from the start.
Perforated metal, signature blue, and layered textures reflect an exterior design that’s equal parts local flair and global identity.
From the outset, our strategy was clear: design a hotel that feels like an extension of the neighborhood. Inspired by the communal spirit of Spanish cuisine and the layered richness of urban culture, each design touchpoint is grounded in storytelling both visual and experiential. No two TRYP locations are identical; instead, each is designed to reflect the soul of its surroundings while staying true to the expressive brand identity.
The guest experience begins long before check-in. We redefined the ground floor as a communal plaza. A vibrant, multifunctional space featuring a specialty coffee bar, curated retail, library-gallery, and flexible lounge seating that encourages guests and locals to connect. The check-in process was intentionally woven into the guest journey, eliminating friction while setting the tone for what’s to come.
The dynamic lobby layout blends flexible seating, brand storytelling, and natural light to foster connection while welcoming guests, locals, and wanderers alike into the TRYP experience.
Throughout the hotel, interior design choices balance calm, natural palettes with bold accents and tactile materials, resulting in a space that feels both energizing and restorative. From guest rooms designed around distinct travel personas to public spaces activated by local art and culture, the entire environment was built to evolve with its guests – flexible, intuitive, and unforgettably engaging.
More than just hotel architecture, the TRYP prototype is a new benchmark in experiential design. One that blurs the line between traveler and local and redefines what it means to belong in a city.
We don’t just design hotels, we build moments of discovery. Crafted with character and powered by place.
We hired Harrison to develop the new prototype design for the TRYP by Wyndham Hotel brand consisting of exterior, public spaces and guestrooms. Harrison quickly immersed themselves with the brand, not just from a design or guest expectation aspect, but as importantly from an operational perspective. There extensive experience in restaurant design allowed them to develop a public space that is flexible throughout all day parts and created a destination dining experience. They are truly innovative and their solutions push the creative boundaries and challenged the Brand in a positive way that paved for revenue generating streams, more streamlined operational ideas and great guest facing and engaging design’s that changed the face of the TRYP Brand”. “I would recommend consulting and / or hiring Harrison for any future design development or project specific work.
