We were asked to create a contemporary restaurant and bar proposition at Derby County FC that would perform as well on any typical high street location. We developed a solution which steered away from typical sports bars. The Yard’s personality and name came from the heritage of the local area which were dominated by train yards.
The space had to be designed to cope with significant trading peaks on match days as well as accommodating areas specifically set aside for premium match day hospitality ticket holders.
