Situated in the City Walk development of Dubai, Meraas, appointed Harrison to create a restaurant and cafe that celebrates all things cocoa. Cocoa Kitchen is a concept store that revolves around a simple mono ingredient. The space needed to pay homage to the centuries old trading in the commodity and so take on a vintage industrial feel.
Located in a modern designed unit, we utilised traditional materials such as copper, ceramic and brick to provoke a real sense of the nostalgic. We used an elaborate network of copper piping overhead and vintage chocolate making artefact displays give the guest a real sense of tradition with a contemporary sensibility, the design encourages guests to explore and discover the space.
