Nando’s Springfield Lakes sits at the edge of a busy shopping centre a high-footfall location that demanded not just a refresh, but a rethink. The brief? Elevate the guest experience while embracing sustainable design by repurposing materials already on site.
A layered, light-filled dining room brings the spirit of Springfield to life — with woven pendants, graphic wall textures, and vibrant seating that strikes the perfect balance between playful and practical.
A close-up on craft — custom dining chairs pair powder-coated frames with warm timber to echo the playful palette of the space. Backdrop details like patterned bolsters and angled wall tiles add texture and rhythm.
Rich red chevron booths and graphic timber panelling bring warmth and rhythm to the dining space. Above, a cluster of woven sculptural lights adds a playful nod to craftsmanship — grounding the brand in culture and colour.
Springfield’s dining room is a tapestry of colour, craft, and culture — from woven pendant lighting and layered wall art to the iconic chevron booths and patterned timber wall. It’s a space designed to feel vibrant, human, and unmistakably Nando’s.

The existing layout made for a fragmented journey, with poor flow and minimal street appeal. We saw an opportunity to flip the narrative creating visual connection from the outside in, and guiding customers through a more natural, welcoming sequence.

We brightened the palette to enhance light and openness, layered in warm lighting to add depth, and reconfigured the seating with bespoke booths and refined contemporary furnishings. Every element worked to balance comfort, efficiency, and atmosphere.

An energetic welcome framed by architectural angles, playful tile geometry, and Nando’s signature rooster in neon. The counter doubles as a retail moment, blending art, brand, and function right at the point of entry.

By building with what was already there and enhancing it with thoughtful design we delivered maximum impact with minimal waste. The result is a space that feels fresh, open, and effortlessly Nando’s. A story of sustainability, reimagined through hospitality design.

The counter becomes a focal point — where architectural form meets everyday function. Diagonal cladding, warm terracotta tones, and a pop of neon bring a bold, confident energy to this high-traffic touchpoint.
A closer look at the layered wall treatment reveals a tactile mix of materials — zigzag tilework, textured blocks, and curated artwork come together to create a space that feels handcrafted and grounded in story.
A vibrant service station pairs bold geometry with everyday function. Red accents and custom joinery mirror the wall’s woven disc lighting — tying brand storytelling into even the smallest moments of the guest experience.
Colour-blocked tiles form a playful backdrop for bold product displays — where curated retail meets brand storytelling. Pops of pink, teal, and orange bring energy, while greenery softens the structure.
Sunlight, soul, and spice. This dining zone layers warm timber, woven textures, and hand-drawn stories—anchored by iconic Nando’s storytelling and bold, crafted lighting.
A bold brand moment at the threshold — Nando’s iconic rooster glows in hot pink neon, anchoring a custom entry bench framed by tactile tiling and timber warmth. A space that welcomes with personality.

We treated the existing site not as a limitation, but as a toolkit. It’s amazing how much warmth and energy you can unlock when you work with what you have.
