Embracing the Spirit of Limerick: A Story of Light, Craft, and Connection
Not just design but magic with meaning.
But the true transformation hangs above. With a soaring 6.5m ceiling to work with, we partnered with Ashanti Design in South Africa to craft 32 bespoke pendants from 585kg of upcycled cotton—material once destined for landfill, now reborn in a dance of colour and light. Each pendant is handwoven, each pattern unique, celebrating the individuality of the artisans behind them. Their vibrant presence energises the space, creating a powerful focal point visible from every level.
This wasn’t just design—it was magic with meaning. The project empowered 35 weavers, expanding Ashanti’s team and creating lasting community impact. Every light carries a story of craft, culture, and connection.
We don’t just design spaces—we transform them into living narratives and in Limerick, we turned a ceiling into a sky full of stories.
It was an amazing experience to work closely with Ashanti and being part of the process and see all the hard work that the weavers put into it. That made this project a lot more meaningful and personal to me.
